Emerging from Storm Éowyn
Last week, Storm Éowyn had hit the UK and Ireland pretty hard. It was one of the worst storms I have experienced in my living memory. My day job was cancelled, and even the big supermarkets had to shut down for safety concerns; it was like being back in the COVID-19 lockdown where everyone had to stay home. In the small hours of the morning, the electricity for my area stopped functioning; we went through 3 days without heat and electricity, and the storm physically ripped my broadband line. I count myself lucky as these are the extent of any physical damages as countless thousands were affected, and sadly, lives were lost. As of writing, I have restored power and am waiting for the broadband repair team to visit me. I made this illustration to capture the moment when Éowyn visited Ireland.
